Herefordshire residents and businesses can now make use of the council’s newly improved pre-application planning advice service.

The service provides advice and guidance for those looking to apply for planning permission. The new web page and digital application form will offer automatic quotes tailored to the applicant, meaning an improved and less complicated service for the user, and increased efficiency within council services.

This upgrade is part of the ongoing transformation of the Planning and Building Control service, which is based on extensive feedback from users, and will enable us to deliver on our commitment to offer the best possible service for the public.

Cllr Elissa Swinglehurst, Cabinet Member Environment, said: “This new and improved system is great news for service users and for the council. As well as helping to balance out service costs, delivering improved value for taxpayers, the system will provide a customised experience for users, making the process of applying for planning permission simpler than ever.

“We would like to thank users for their patience during the transition from the old system to the new one, and hope they will enjoy the benefits that the switchover has delivered.”

The service can be accessed via our website.
