Grants of up to £15,000 are now available to support the development or growth of Festivals and Events in Herefordshire via the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Herefordshire Council have been allocated £7.3m to help improve pride in place and increase life chances, investing in communities and place, supporting local business, people and skills over the next three years.

This second round of funding will help to support festivals and events, building on the county’s fantastic tourism and cultural offer as a great place to visit, live or work.

Any organisation in the county with legal status and a bank account in the same name can apply, provided their activities aim to deliver an increase in visitors, additional festivals and events, or an increase in the number of volunteering opportunities available.

Cllr Graham Biggs, Cabinet Member Economy and Growth, said: “A key element of the UKSPF is to strengthen the leisure and cultural sector through grant support to the performing arts, live events, the creative industries and local food and drink businesses.

“This is an excellent opportunity to access potentially significant funding, but applications are only accepted for a limited time, so I would encourage businesses or organisations that are interested to find out more without delay.”

Applications must be submitted by midnight on Sunday 10 March 2024.
