Those parking in Merton Meadow before 8am to get a coach to the match will benefit from the reduced tariff
Herefordshire Council is offering £1 all day parking in Merton Meadow car park on 22 May to assist Hereford FC's supporters travelling by coach to the FA Vase final at Wembley stadium and to reduce traffic disruption to surrounding residential areas.
The Wembley match kicks off at 12:15, with an expected 30 coaches of Hereford fans expected to travel down to support the team. All those parking in Merton Meadow before 8am will benefit from the reduced tariff.
Councillor Rone, cabinet member for transport and roads said:
"I'm pleased that we are able to support fans during this exciting time for Hereford FC by offering reduced parking rates to those travelling to Wembley."
Herefordshire Council is currently supporting the football club through a five-year lease allowing Hereford FC the continued use of the Edgar Street Football ground. Hereford FC and Herefordshire Council had a productive joint meeting in April regarding the Club's future lease arrangements and a further meeting has been arranged for June.
