Can you fluently speak more than one language? Do you enjoy working with a wide range of people? Do you enjoy a challenge?

If so, then working as an interpreter may be for you.

The application process is now open for our unaccredited foundation training course, which will run over six remote sessions, on consecutive Saturdays starting on 22 January 2022.

Run by our in-house language agency, the Herefordshire Language Network, the course provides trainees with the skills they need to work as an interpreter in the public sector.

The sessions provide an excellent starting point for anyone who has ever considered interpreting and could lead to paid work in the county.

Anyone interested in applying will need a very high level of fluency in English and any other language.

At the moment, we are particularly keen to hear from speakers of languages from Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, Nepal and African countries; though we look forward to hearing from other linguists, too. People in and around Herefordshire with the entry qualifications are welcome to apply for a place on the course.

The deadline for applications is Friday 14 January. The fee for the course is £30. To find out more about the criteria for applying, and to download an application form, please visit our webpage or call 01432 260216.
