Admissions for secondary school places for September 2027 opens today, Monday 7 September, for children who were born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016.

Parents and carers of Year 6 pupils living in Herefordshire will receive a letter from the Pupil Admissions Officer through their child’s current primary school or via their home address if attending a school in another local authority. The letter will detail how and where to apply for a secondary school place.

Please note that late applications could result in not being offered a place in a preferred school.

The closing date for all secondary school applications is midnight on 31 October 2026
