Global manufacturer invests in new Herefordshire headquarters

The opening of a new Herefordshire headquarters for international manufacturing business CEJN Group is being welcomed as another positive example of business growth and investment in the county.

Swedish-owned CEJN Group, a global specialist in high-performance connection technology, has officially opened its new UK headquarters at Moreton Business Park, reinforcing its long-term commitment to Herefordshire.

The new facility represents an important milestone for the company, which established its UK operations in 2010 and has continued to develop its presence in the county.

The official opening on Thursday 8 October was attended by the team from Herefordshire Growth Hub, alongside CEJN’s leadership team, including Group President and Owner Marcus Allerbjer and UK Managing Director Thomas Binns.

CEJN designs and manufactures specialist connection solutions, including ultra-high-pressure hose assemblies, couplings and hose and cable reels, supplying industries ranging from advanced manufacturing and construction to renewable energy and data centres.

Supporting business growth in Herefordshire

CEJN is among the established businesses supported by Herefordshire Council through its business engagement and economic development activities.

The company is a member of the Herefordshire Growth Forum and has benefited from tailored business support, including a £35,000 grant from the Business Enterprise Fund in 2024, funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

The grant supported investment in specialist pressure-testing equipment, helping the business develop its manufacturing capabilities.

Herefordshire Council’s Cabinet Member for Economy and Growth, Councilor Graham Biggs, said:

“It is wonderful to see CEJN opening its new headquarters and to see first-hand the scale of its ambitions here in Herefordshire.
“We have some exceptional businesses operating in our county, developing innovative products and technologies that are used around the world. CEJN is a great example of the expertise and ambition that exists within our local economy.
“The company’s decision to invest in new premises is a real vote of confidence in Herefordshire and demonstrates that our county is a place where international businesses can establish themselves, grow and succeed.
“Through Invest in Herefordshire, we want to build on successes like this, supporting our existing businesses while encouraging new investment that creates opportunities, supports more better paid jobs and strengthens our local economy.
“I congratulate everyone at CEJN on this important milestone and look forward to seeing the business continue to thrive.”

CEJN UK Managing Director Thomas Binns, added:

"This investment demonstrates our confidence in both the UK & Irish market and Herefordshire. As we continue to grow, this new headquarters will help us support customers across the UK while strengthening our long-term roots in the county that has been home to our UK operations for since its inception."

Investing in Herefordshire’s future

The opening of CEJN’s new headquarters supports Herefordshire Council’s wider ambitions to strengthen the local economy, encourage business investment and promote the county as a location for innovative, high-value industries.

Through its Invest in Herefordshire initiative, the Council is working to showcase the county’s strengths in sectors including advanced manufacturing, defence, cyber security and agri-tech, while supporting businesses already operating in Herefordshire to develop and expand.

The opening provides a further example of the opportunities available to businesses looking to establish, develop or grow their operations in the county.

Looking ahead, the Council is also progressing the development of Ross-on-Wye Enterprise Park, which will offer new opportunities for businesses looking to establish or expand their operations in Herefordshire. With the first phase expected to be ready for development in 2027, the site will build on the county’s growing reputation as a location for business investment and expansion.
