Invest in Herefordshire to showcase county’s growth potential at Military to Business event
Herefordshire Council’s Invest in Herefordshire service will be showcasing the county’s investment opportunities at a major Military to Business event this month.
The team will be highlighting Herefordshire as a prime location for cyber security, defence and advanced engineering growth.
The event, held at NMITE’s Skylon Campus on 18 June 2026, brings together employers, investors, defence organisations, education providers and service leavers to explore how military skills can support local workforce needs and drive economic growth.
Invest in Herefordshire will be on site to promote the county’s key employment and investment locations, including Skylon Park and the developing Ross Enterprise Park, and to engage directly with businesses considering expansion or relocation.
Representatives from the Council-backed Herefordshire Growth Hub will also be attending the event to provide information and advice on the support available to businesses across the county. The Growth Hub offers free, impartial guidance on grants, loans, business support programmes and other opportunities to help businesses start, grow and succeed.
The presence at the showcase forms part of the Council’s ongoing work to attract high-value investment into Herefordshire’s growing cyber, defence and advanced manufacturing sectors, while strengthening connections between employers and skilled talent, including veterans and service leavers.
Herefordshire Council’s Cabinet Member for Economy and Growth, Councillor Graham Biggs, said:
“Herefordshire is increasingly being recognised as a place where high-growth industries can thrive, particularly in cyber security, defence and advanced engineering.
“Events like the Military to Business Showcase are a valuable opportunity for Invest in Herefordshire and the Herefordshire Growth Hub to engage directly with investors, businesses and skilled individuals, and to demonstrate the strength of the support available across the county as we work towards more better paid jobs.
“We want to make it as easy as possible for businesses to see Herefordshire as a place to grow, invest and innovate, while also ensuring that veterans and service leavers can access the opportunities their skills deserve.”
The Invest in Herefordshire and Herefordshire Growth Hub teams will be available throughout the event to discuss investment opportunities, business support and key development sites across the county.
The Military to Business Showcase takes place at NMITE’s Skylon Campus on Wednesday 18 June 2026.
