Music, face painting, bouncy castles, sports and a gaming van were just a few of the activities on offer throughout the day, alongside live music, candy floss, pizza and ice cream.

Children's Services staff and carers joined in with the games and activities to ensure the children and young people enjoyed a memorable and fun-filled day.

Councillor Ivan Powell, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said:

"We're really pleased to run this event for the third year in a row. We've received lots of positive feedback about the day from our carers and it’s great to hear that so many of our care experienced children and young people enjoyed the event.”

Tina Russell, Corporate Director for Children and Young People, added:

"Thanks to my staff, the volunteers and the carers who gave their time to make this event enjoyable for our children and young people.

"Care experienced children and young people often have to deal with difficult experiences in their lives, so an event like this provides them with the opportunity to relax, have a fun time and make new friends."

Herefordshire Council's Children's Services would like to thank the organisations that helped make the event possible; IllumiNight Mobile Disco, Encore Enterprises, Animal Mania, Perfect Pieces Events Hire, Special Events Photobooths, Party Floss, Magical Experiences, Mega Bounce, Annam Events and Sugar Rush Bakes. Also, thanks to the S&A group, Morrisons, Asda, and Franks Luxury Biscuits for their generous donations of fruit and biscuits.
