Video launched to celebrate first anniversary of Herefordshire’s Youth Employment Hub
A new video has been launched to mark the first anniversary of the opening of the Herefordshire Youth Employment Hub and celebrate National Apprenticeship Week.
The video showcases the employment, training and careers advice available at the hub and captures the ongoing commitment of staff to upskill and empower young people aged 16 – 24 to improve their employment prospects.
It also highlights the achievements of Will as he shares his experience of using the hub as a young person, and how his Careers and Employment Coach has helped him to improve his confidence and skills.
Councillor Graham Biggs, Cabinet Member for Economy and Growth, said:
“Reaching our first anniversary is an important milestone for the Youth Employment Hub.
“This new video reflects the tailored services offered at the hub and the commitment of the staff in supporting young people with their career aspirations. We’re incredibly proud of the positive difference the hub is making to the lives of our young people in Herefordshire.”
Councillor Ivan Powell, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, added:
“I would like to congratulate the staff at the hub and our partners for a successful first year and thank everyone involved in delivering this vital service for young people.
“I would also like to thank Will for sharing his experience of the hub and how the support he’s received has helped him improve his career prospects and we all wish him well for the future.”
Adam Harris, DWP Work Coach Team Leader for Hereford, said:
“The value of the Youth Hub is in allowing us to deliver tailored support with our partners under one roof to move our customers forward. In our first year we have had great success in being collaborative and innovative, changing the lives of those moving into employment, training, and apprenticeships. The potential is there for this to go from strength to strength going into year two, to work even closer with our stakeholders to bring new opportunities and more positive outcomes for our customers.”
