Nominations Received for the First Ever Herefordshire Apprenticeship Awards

The winners will be announced at a special Awards Ceremony during National Apprenticeship Week.


Herefordshire Growth Hub is pleased to confirm that nominations have closed and been judged for the firstever countywide Apprenticeship Awards.

The response from apprentices, employers, mentors and training providers from across the county has been exceptional, showcasing the strength and ambition of Herefordshire’s growing skills sector.

The Awards Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, 10 February 2026, at The Yard, Hereford.

Finalists will come together with employers, training providers and local partners to celebrate the outstanding achievements of apprentices, employers and mentors.

Winners across a range of categories including, Apprentice of the Year, Mentor of the Year and Apprentice Employer of the Year, will be revealed during the evening and the full results shared on the Council’s website.

Cllr Graham Biggs, Cabinet Member for Economy and Growth, said: “We are delighted with the number and quality of nominations received for our first ever Herefordshire Apprenticeship Awards. It’s clear that apprenticeships are having a real impact on individuals, businesses and our wider economy. We look forward to celebrating everyone’s achievements at next week’s ceremony and using this to increase awareness of the opportunities to earn while you learn, while gaining valuable experience with employers.”

David Williams, Chair of the Herefordshire Skills Board and Principal of Herefordshire, Ludlow and North Shropshire College, added: “We were pleased to see nominations across all categories and from a range of sectors, which reflects the wide and diverse role apprenticeships play in our economy. These awards will shine a light on those individuals and organisations who are driving these opportunities, innovation and growth.”
