This joins several timetable changes to improve reliability and introduce new operators to existing services. 

The improvements from 30 August include:

• Additional evening journeys and enhanced Sunday services on service 23 between Newport and Hereford
• More journeys serving Hereford Railway Station on service 66 between Monmouth and Hereford
• Additional Saturday morning journeys on service 417 between Worcester and Ledbury
• New early morning and evening journeys on service 675 between Ledbury and Great Malvern

Minor timetable changes on several other routes to improve punctuality and reliability for bus services

• Retimed journeys on Service 32/33 between Gloucester and Ross On Wye
• Retimed journeys on Service 447/449 Hereford to Kingstone and Madley
• A change of direction on Service 844 to serve Brampton Abbots in both directions

Some services are unchanged but have a new operator

• Newport Transport will run service 413/812 between Broad Oak and Hereford
• Newport Transport will run service 436 between Swainshill and Hereford
• Newport Transport will run service 448 between Madley and Hereford
• D Belfitt Commercials will run services 31, 54, 436 (Breinton), 456/457, 459, 478 and 479 across South and east Herefordshire.

Councillor Philip Price, Cabinet Member for Transport and Infrastructure, said:

“Bus services are vital to communities across Herefordshire, providing people with access to work, education, healthcare, shops and other essential services. Herefordshire welcomes these additional journeys on services that the Council financially supports, which are targeted at getting people to work in the early morning and in the evening.

The Council will continue to work with operators to improve the reliability of bus services and welcome their new timetables particularly at the beginning of the academic year as we welcome many new young people onto the bus network.

We welcome the new operators onto many existing bus services in the South of the County. The Council are working hard this weekend to get new bus timetables into bus stop cases. All the right information is online and a reminder to new passengers is you can normally check where your bus is on bustimes or on some operator apps.”
