The Garth Nursing Home, Kington

We can confirm that the Care Quality Commission (CQC) recently inspected the Garth Nursing Home in Kington and awarded it a rating of ‘Inadequate’.

Herefordshire Council, Powys County Council and NHS Herefordshire & Worcestershire (the ICB) have been working closely with the Garth Nursing Home over the past several months to try and deliver a number of service improvements that have been identified.

Although some improvements have been made to date, the CQC identified that further action is required.

Our top priority is always to ensure the well-being and safety of all residents. We have been in contact with them and their families over the past several months and have provided information, advice and guidance.

We will continue to stay in contact with residents and discuss with them the impact of any decisions we may need to make.
