Free parking is available on the dates, times and locations below:

Hereford

Free parking will take place from 4pm on Wednesday 3, Wednesday 10 and Wednesday 17 December, and will apply in all council car parks and on-street pay and display bays.

Ross-on-Wye

Free parking will be available all day on Saturday 6 December 2025.

Leominster

Residents and visitors to Leominster can enjoy free parking all day on Saturday 13 December 2025.

Ledbury

There will be free parking in Ledbury all day on Saturday 22 November 2025.

Kington

Free Christmas Parking is available all day on Saturday 20 December 2025.

*There is no need to purchase and display a ticket during the free parking dates and times listed above. This free parking offer does not apply to any private car parks, unless stated. If in doubt look for the ‘free parking’ information signs and check local restrictions.

Free parking will also be available in market towns after 6pm every day and all day on Sundays.

Councillor Durkin, Cabinet Member for Roads and Regulatory Services, said: “Christmas is one of the busiest and most important times of the year for businesses and local people, and it also sees a very high demand for parking. 

“Each year, Herefordshire Council works with Town Councils and the Hereford City BID, to provide the free parking at the most beneficial time for local businesses, and we are delighted to continue this support. 

“I hope that residents will make the most of the free parking to support their local businesses and communities over the festive period.”
