Residents’ help asked to identify Bartestree fly-tippers

Herefordshire Council’s Environmental Health team is asking anyone who has information on a recent fly-tipping incident in Bartestree to contact them.

The waste was dumped in an area of Bartestree, Hereford, and comprised a large volume of packaging material. A cardboard box bearing the name ‘Harvia Cilindro’ was part of the waste, alongside a wooden crate and other items. Harvia Cilindro produce home sauna heaters and so we are particularly keen to hear information on anyone who has had a home or garden sauna installed in the past month, particularly if it bears the Harvia Cilindro branding.

Councillor Barry Durkin, Cabinet Member for Roads and Regulatory Services at Herefordshire Council, said:

Fly-tipping is an appalling planned, anti-social and anti-environmental action.  Also, a serious criminal offence and a blight on our countryside - and we will take all measures to bring those responsible to justice. This recent act in Bartestree was unforgiveable and I would urge anyone who has any information to come forward so that we can bring those responsible to book.

Anyone with information on this offence is asked to email Philip James in our Community Protection team: Philip.james@herefordshire.gov.uk.
