Plans submitted for proposed Aylestone School expansion

Plans to expand Aylestone School, Hereford, have been submitted to the council for consideration.

If approved, the scheme will see £13.1m invested in the school’s facilities to accommodate 300 additional pupils (60 pupils per year group), with the first intake into year 7 from September 2026.

The permanent expansion was approved by Cabinet in February 2023 and aims to meet the growing demand for school places in the north of Hereford City.

The proposed works include the provision of a new sports hall, two storey teaching block comprising 6 classrooms, music room and practice spaces and changing accommodation, along with internal remodelling of existing facilities and external works.
