News and events - Youth Employment Hub

National Apprenticeship Week and Youth Employment Hub first anniversary

It's National Apprenticeship Week and it's also a year since we opened our doors to young people in Herefordshire.

To celebrate our first anniversary, we've launched a video to showcase the services offered by our staff at the Hereford city hub. The video also highlights the achievements of Will, as he shares his experience of using the hub as a young person, and how his Careers and Employment Coach has helped him to improve his confidence and skills.

Since opening our doors in February 2025, we've supported over 300 young people by providing free, impartial advice and guidance on education, training, apprenticeships, volunteering and employment opportunities.

Our Careers and Employment Coaches can help you with:

  • Support into education, employment and/or training
  • CV writing
  • Interview skills
  • Careers workshops
  • Confidence building

If you would like to find out more – get in touch by completing our referral form or call us on 01432 261515.

*Special thanks to Will for volunteering to be part of our video and to Vince McNally MBE, for providing us with permission to film at Hinton Boxing Club.
