How we're organised

The Chief Executive of Herefordshire Council is Paul Walker. He is the senior officer who leads and takes responsibility for the work of all directly employed council staff.

The council consists of four directorates:

  • Community wellbeing
  • Children and young people
  • Economy and environment
  • Corporate services

Together, these directorates and divisions provide a wide range of services, which include education, social care, highways and transport, planning, culture, waste management, environmental health and trading standards.

You can find out more about each directorate.
