At Herefordshire Council, we understand residents and visitors may have concerns about coronavirus. We would like to reassure you that the government and NHS are well prepared to deal with this virus.

The council is monitoring the situation closely and coordinating with Public Health England. We are taking all possible steps to keep people safe. The UK government is in close contact with the World Health Organisation and the international community as the outbreak develops to ensure the UK is ready for all eventualities.

Testing for coronavirus is not needed if you're staying at home.
There is currently no specific treatment for coronavirus. It's therefore important to follow the latest NHS advice and stay at home guidance for people with confirmed or possible coronavirus infection on the gov.uk website. This will help stop the spread of coronavirus and help protect others in your community while you are infectious.
