  • Ensuring older people have suitable accommodation that is safe, warm and affordable is essential to health and wellbeing including the prevention of falls, respiratory illnesses and stroke
  • Ensuring that heating is adequate with effective energy efficiency measure often affect those on low incomes, particularly older people but also families with young children
  • Ensuring adaptations and mobility aids help people live independently. Private rented accommodation for those with a medical condition also need to be of a good quality
