Postal vote issuing and opening

Postal vote issuing clerks are employed to assist in collating over 20,000 postal vote packs ready to send out to every elector who has a postal vote in place. This normally takes a few days to complete. Once these arrive back to the elections team, postal vote opening clerks are then employed for a couple of weeks to open and verify the postal ballot packs ready to go forward to the count on polling day.
