Fell and remove three trees: 1. mature oak 90% dead with only small
clumps of live foliage remaining. Not suitable for retention. 2. WychElm. Quite large for the species (which frequently dies before
achieving great stature) but with crown strongly disposed to the
south-east. However the crown shows evidence of Dutch Elm Disease,
some foliage already brown and shrivelled and much of the rest wilted, showing that the disease is well established and that the tree is
likely to die within 12 months. 3. Sycamore. Evidently a self-sown
tree. Crown rather one-sided, disposed to the East. No significant
defects, but a generally unexceptional tree.
