| Proposal | G1 is a group of 8 Ash trees (Fraxinus excelsior) which all have Ash Dieback (Hymenoscyphus fraxineus). Over the last 7 years have shown signs of decline and in recent winds they have lost some reasonable sized branches and in one instance the whole top snapped out. As theyhave been drawn up by the surrounding trees they are quite 'leggy' andthere is little scope to reduce them and retain an attractive form, sowith public and personal safety at the forefront we would like to remove them and replant with more Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna), Oak (Quercus robur) and some Rowan (Sorbus aucuparia). |
