Proposed works - Pruning of trees to restrict height of sail to a maximum of 5m measured from the top of the standing trunks. Reason for the works - There is a risk that the trees may be uprooted by strong winds and fall and damage the flood defences which run along the bank of the River Wye which could result in serious flooding of the surrounding area. The size of the Lime tree canopies will need to be controlled by regular pruning. The maximum height and spread (sail area) of the canopies should be 5m (measured from the topof the standing trunks). |
