Proposed works to T1 is a semi-mature Ash standing to a height of
approx 14-16m and partially overhanging the neighbouring property.
Would like to to crown reduce by around 3-4m overall to the height of
the previous pruning work to limit the weight and length of the limbs
that form the canopy and reduce the risk of early failure. It has beennoted that the fungal fruiting bodies have been appearing
progressively further down the stem each year, suggesting that the
tree is not successfully compartmentalising the decay. The work wouldaim to retain the tree while managing the risk due to the presence of
the fungal mycelium.
