Comment on an application

If you wish to comment on a planning application you can use our online planning application search. Alternatively, you can email planning_enquiries@herefordshire.gov.uk or post to:

Planning Services, PO Box 230, Hereford HR1 2ZB.

Once you have successfully submitted your online comments you will receive an automated replay confirming that your comment has been received and the content of that submission.

Please ensure you include the planning application reference number with your comments and that it will reach us within 21 days of the receipt of application. All comments and written representations made on an application are open to public inspection. They will also be published on the council website and this will include your name and address, however your signature, telephone number and email address will be redacted.

The statutory period for consultation is 21 days from receipt of the planning application. If you do not comment within the statutory 21 day period there will be no potential to address the planning committee directly should the application be reported to them for decision. If you experience any problems with the website and urgently wish to submit a comment, please email: planning_enquiries@herefordshire.gov.uk.

Please note that Herefordshire Council accepts no responsibility or liability for the comments received and reserves the right to withdraw or redact comments from public inspection not of a valid planning nature at any time. Representations received after the relevant statutory time limit will only be considered if they raise material planning matters and will affect your opportunity for public speaking in the event that the application is considered by the Planning Committee. It is important therefore that you comply with the stated time limits. Part 5, section 12 of the council's constitution contains the Planning Code which provides guidance for members and officers.
