Supported by Access Fund from Department for Transport

Herefordshire Council's TravelFund grant offers funding for facilities to support sustainable travel to work, and to help reduce business mileage.

We will consider any facilities that make it easier for your employees to walk, cycle, catch the bus or train, or car-share to work. Also, any facilities that support working from home or that reduce the need to travel by car on business. You can apply for more than one facility. Examples include:

  • Pool bikes, including folding bikes, for business use
  • Changing facilities for cyclists, clothes lockers and wardrobes
  • Remote working and video conferencing equipment

How much is the grant

The grant can cover 100 percent of eligible project costs up to a maximum grant of £1,000*. The balance of any items that exceed this amount will have to be met by yourselves.

*Organisations with over 250 employees and Hereford city schools working on the Sustrans programme, may be able to apply for a grant of up to £5,000 for covered cycle parking facilities. Please contact us at or call 01432 383262 to discuss.
