14 March to 29 April Hereford Cathedral, Poppies: Weeping Window sculpture. More details are available on Hereford Cathedral 2018
13 April In April 1916 at the Garrick Theatre in Hereford fund raising events were held to raise money to support soldiers at the front.

On 7 April 1916 eight children were sadly killed when a fire broke out at the end of their performance. The children who perished were: Peggy Baird, Connie Bragg, Linda Illman, Nellie Rutherford, Cissie Beavan, Violet Corey, Winnie Mailes and Phyllis White.

A plaque commemorating those who perished is to be dedicated in the Lady Arbour Garden at Hereford Cathedral at 10.30am on Friday 13 April 2018. There will be a short service of dedication conducted by the Dean of Hereford.
