Veterans' survey results

We would like to thank all those who took the time to respond to the veterans' survey. The findings from the survey will make an invaluable contribution to the forthcoming Armed Forces Needs Assessment for Herefordshire, through which our aim is to improve services and support to our local armed force community, both now and in the future. To access the highlights and headlines please visit Armed Forces veterans' survey.

Dates for your diary

Events that were planned across Herefordshire in May and June 2020 are now cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak. This has been a difficult decision to take, due to the importance of VE Day 75 commemorations and Armed Forces Week events. However, we believe that it is important and appropriate to support our community following government guidance in relation to the coronavirus outbreak.

Friday 8 May, VE Day 75

Commemorate VE Day with your family

At 3pm on Friday 8 May, the nation is being invited to stand and raise a glass or cup of their choice at home and toast: “For those that gave so much, we thank you.”

Monday 22 June, Armed Forces Day Flag-raising

Saturday 27 June, Armed Forces Day

Saturday 15 August VJ Day
