Despite Covid-19 restricting face to face meetings and drop-ins, we are still here to support our armed forces community, particularly over this difficult time. We are only a phone call away or if you prefer, online via Facebook and email. We've teamed up with other local organisations. By working together we can ensure that help is never far away:
Herefordshire Veteran Support Centre
The Centre is now co-ordinating a team of volunteers to support veterans in the community most in need, working in partnership with other organisations. If you need support contact us:

Defence Medical Welfare Service
They will continue to provide practical and emotional support as best they can to the armed forces community while they are receiving medical treatment or at home.

Help For Heroes
Although our face to face activities have paused, we continue to offer welfare, clinical liaison, medical advice, psychological support and individual grant requests. We have a Veteran Liaison worker available locally to conduct 121 phone and video consultations remotely at this current time. First Light Trust Café (41-43 Broad Street, Hereford)
The café has closed its doors physically, but they are still supporting military and bluelight veterans.

The Cart Shed
The Cart Shed are offering telephone support and are devising a range of activities to support veterans, families and young people. They are offering a buddy-up service for their clients and anyone who needs emotional support.

Age UK Herefordshire and Worcestershire
Although having to close its Centres, Age UK HW are increasing a number of its services to support older people including regular phone calls, shopping and prescription runs – but most importantly want to combat the risk of loneliness and isolation. More details on the Age UK website.
The Royal British Legion
The contact centre is open for calls 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm Tel: 0808 802 8080. This will then be passed onto the local team who will make contact.
Helpline available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to take your message. Then one of the local SSAFA team will then get in touch with you by phone, email or Skype.
