Edgelands, Green Lanes and Forgotten Corners of Herefordshire by Richard Gilbert
Hereford artist Richard Gilbert explores locations in Herefordshire that are overlooked or little known.
His oil paintings celebrate the county’s identity and human landscape together with sites of special scientific interest, from the Lugg Meadows and Bodenham Lakes to Croft Castle trees or abandoned buildings.
Some paintings have been made specifically for this exhibition following the footsteps of early 20th century Hereford artist Brian Hatton. In addition to his own work the artist will curate a selection of associated works by Brian Hatton from the Museum’s Fine Art collections.
