Book your place on the 2023 White Ribbon Conference to be held on Friday 24 November 2023 online via Microsoft teams, 9.30am to 3.15pm. The conference will raise awareness and increase your knowledge

This year’s event has a rich mixture of speakers and subjects, with a particular emphasis in reaching out to businesses across the counties and their role in identifying, supporting, and signposting those suffering abuse. We will be joined by the Employers Initiative on Domestic Abuse, who will share national best practice in relation to policies etc. This further embraces the ethos of “Domestic abuse is everyone’s business”.

We are pleased to have as our keynote speaker, Maggie Blyth, the National Police Chiefs Council Lead for Violence against Women and Girls. Maggie lives in Herefordshire and was previously the Chair of the Children’s Safeguarding Board.

We will hear from PEGS, a social enterprise set up to support parents, carers and guardians who are experiencing Child to Parent Abuse (CPA).

Together we will understand how domestic abuse impacts on blind victims and celebrate the launch of a new initiative “cut it out”, focused on the beauty and hair industry.

We’re calling on all organisations and individuals to #ChangeTheStory for women and girls. This starts with challenging the seemingly ‘harmless’ attitudes and behaviours that perpetuate violence for women and girls.
