Highlighting the Hoard Store Tour

Step behind the scenes and uncover the hidden stores of the Herefordshire Hoard and other Anglo/Viking Objects at the History Store.

Group of people looking around the Hereford Horde

Led by our archaeology curator, you’ll discover how these artefacts reveal the power, craftsmanship, and cultural exchange that shaped early medieval Britain. From intricate metalwork to everyday tools, each piece offers a window into the lives, beliefs, and identities of the people who created and used them.

This intimate tour invites you to get closer than ever to history—seeing significant objects not currently on display and learning the fascinating processes behind their care, preservation, and interpretation.

Perfect for history enthusiasts, archaeology lovers, and anyone curious about the Anglo/Viking world.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the event start for check in.
