The Landscape Character Assessment Supplementary Planning Guidance provides guidance on how to comply with the landscape policies of the Local Plan. It promotes the use of landscape assessment as part of the development control process. The aim is to increase awareness of the countryside's character and to m\ake sure that future development is compatible with that character.
This Landscape Character Assessment (2009) has now been superseded. Please refer to the Landscape Character Assessment 2023 for the most up to date version.
