Where else to recycle

Good quality carpets and rugs can be sold second-hand or donated to charitable organisations, voluntary groups or furniture reuse groups.

Carpets that are not reusable can be used as a weed barrier. Local allotments and gardening groups may welcome them. Do not place unwanted carpets in your rubbish bin.

You can take carpet that you have removed from your own home to your nearest Household Recycling Centre or arrange a bulky household waste collection.
