Anti-fraud, bribery and corruption policy

This policy provides a clear framework for the council to undertake necessary, legal and proportionate actions wherever the evidence supports an investigation into an allegation of fraud.

This policy sets out our aims and objectives to:

  • Enforce the Council’s zero-tolerance approach to fraud
  • Raise awareness and promote a robust anti-fraud culture
  • Set out the framework for prevention, detection and investigation of fraud, theft, bribery and corruption
  • Provide clear and structured guidance on how to report allegations of suspected fraud
