Sheep's-bit

Priority species or species assemblage
Sheep's-bit
Description
Several species may require reintroductions to support the recovery of their populations in Herefordshire. This involves the deliberate release of the species, either from captivity or areas where populations still remain, to reestablish in areas which it used to inhabit.
Priority
Promote the reintroduction of the plant, Sheep’s-bit where suitable
Priority description
Sheep’s-bit is a low growing plant with light blue flower heads often found on dry acid grasslands. Once established it can grow in large numbers on a site and therefore, reintroduction should enable this species to recover its population in Herefordshire.
