Forester moth

Priority species or species assemblage
Forester moth
Description
Several species may require reintroductions to support the recovery of their populations in Herefordshire. This involves the deliberate release of the species, either from captivity or areas where populations still remain, to reestablish in areas which it used to inhabit.
Priority
Promote the reintroduction of the Forester moth where suitable
Priority description
This day-flying moth species is widespread; however, is often absent over wide areas. The reintroduction of this species to hay meadows in Herefordshire should support recovery of the forester’s population.
