Second Chance Hereford is run by practitioners with a passion for delivering high quality, enriching and above all enjoyable green space learning. Set amidst the beautiful Herefordshire Countryside just 12 miles from Hereford and 3 miles from Leominster we offer the perfect environment for delivering care farming and animal assisted interventions from our beautiful 7-acre smallholding in Monkland. Second Chance can offer a range of bespoke programs designed to suit the needs and interests of individuals or small groups.

​​Our offer for those 11+ is based around ASDAN Short Courses whilst our service for yonger learners focuses on animal assisted interventions delivered by our experienced team. 

The care farming team at Second Chance are a group of passionate, motivated individuals who are dedicated to their work. The positive, supportive relationships that develop with our clients help to build bridges to future success.

Accreditations

We are a registered ASDAN and Arts Award Centre and carry the Green Care Quality Assurance Mark through Social Farms and Gardens.

Programmes offered and cost

We offer a range of ASDAN Short Courses including Land Based, Animal Care and Careers and Experiencing work. Our 4 hour sessions cost £60 for young people attending as part of a group and £120 for those who require 1:1 support.
