Details of provision service

Fresh Start in Education is a national interim alternative education provider with over 15 years of experience supporting children and young people (CYP) aged 4 to 25. We specialise in delivering trauma-informed and therapeutic engagement and education provision that are tailored to the individual needs of each learner. Our provision is flexible and holistic, designed to achieve positive outcomes through personalised support interventions.
The curriculum delivered is broad, balanced, and designed to meet the diverse needs and aspirations of each learner. It is differentiated and age-appropriate, with literacy and numeracy embedded discreetly yet purposefully across all areas of learning. Particular attention is given to each CYP’s unique spikey profile, ensuring that content is accessible and meaningful.

  • NCFE Functional Skills: Entry Level 1 to Level 2 in English, mathematics, and ICT. Digital Functional Skills Entry Level 3 to Level 1
  • ASDAN accredited short courses:
    • Core Subjects; English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, languages, and History
    • ASDAN Vocational Taster courses: Animal Care, Computing, Construction, Foodwise (Catering), Gardening, Hair and Beauty, Hospitality, Land based   Sector, Manufacturing and Uniformed Services
    • ASDAN Sport & Activities: Sports & Fitness Short Course and Football Short Course
    • ASDAN Informal short courses: Lift Off Transition Programme, Environmental, Expressive Arts, Living Independently and Road Wise

Online Costs: 1:1 £65 p/h
Session: 1 hour per day, (min of 3 hours per week)

In School: Bespoke support packages delivered on the school site where other adults responsible for the student are present for the duration of the session.
Costs: 1:1 £75 p/h – 2:1 - £132/hr or 3:1 - £192/hr
Session: 3 hours per day, (min 6 hours per week)

Student’s home or Public Venue: Bespoke support packages delivered in the student’s home (including residential settings) or an appropriate local community venue, determined by individual needs and risk assessment.
Costs: 1:1 - £95.00/hr, 2:1 - £170/hr, 3:1 - £240/hr
Session: 3 hours per day, (min 6 hours per week)
