Building Bright Futures is a specialist SEND Alternative Provision offering bespoke tuition and mentoring for young people aged 4 - 25 who are not currently accessing full-time education. We create personalised pathways to successfully re-engage young people in a therapeutic and nurturing environment. Our pathways focus on the strengths, needs and aspirations of each young person, allowing them to build the skills and confidence they need to realise their full potential.
Our Provision
We are proud to offer an inclusive, fully-accessible and safe setting where young people are understood, supported and celebrated for who they are. We build trusting relationships, rooted in empathy, warmth and acceptance. Our team can support young people with a wide range of SEND and SEMH needs, and recognise that each young person has a unique way of thinking, feeling, communicating and connecting. Our approach is low-demand, child-led and reflective, providing young people with the time and space they need to understand themselves, and start to realise their full potential. Our specialist Hub based in the Forest of Dean has a range of indoor and outdoor spaces and provides access to a fully accessible kitchen, state-of-the-art sensory spaces, and well-equipped classrooms. We also provide mentoring in the home, the community and in schools across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Monmouthshire. Our hybrid approach allows us to support young people to re-integrate successfully into full-time education, and we work closely with all settings, families and professionals to support seamless and successful transitions.
Pathways
Our foundation curriculum is built around four pathways, designed to support holistic growth and future readiness at all ages:Learning and Work
Independent Living
Friendships, Relationships and Community
Good Health and WellbeingAs a registered AQA Centre, young people can build a portfolio of accredited awards, fostering a real sense of achievement and pride. The huge range of awards we offer include life skills, vocational pathways, academic subjects, and personal interests. We also deliver the National Outdoor Learning Award and the Join In Award Scheme.
Maths and English can be taught discretely or interwoven into sessions to give real-life context. Young people have the opportunity to learn through play, sensory exploration, creative and practical approaches or more traditional methods, depending on their individual requirements.
Our personalised pathways ensure that young people have the skills, resilience and confidence to embrace their next steps in life, whatever they may be. - Accreditations
