How to activate a Council Tax account

Paperless billing and letters

By switching to paperless bills and letters, you’ll enjoy a faster, more efficient way to manage your finances from anywhere, at any time, on any device.

It keeps your bills and letters safe in one place and allows you to view your bills and notices quickly and lets you view your account details

Switching to online billing is good for the planet too. It cuts down on carbon emissions and helps us reach our goal of becoming carbon neutral. It also helps to reduce council spending by saving printing and postage costs. You will still be able to print off a copy of your bill if you need it such as if you need evidence of where you live or need to forward a copy to someone.

If you choose paperless billing and letters, you will receive an email with a link to view your document online as soon as it is generated. This means there is no need to wait for the document to arrive in the post and you will receive instant notification of any changes to your account.
