Support with domestic abuse
If you are experiencing domestic abuse, help is available. Major sporting events can be a difficult time for some people. If you are worried about your own safety, or that of someone you know, confidential support and advice are available on our domestic abuse page.
If you or someone who lives with you is an apprentice or a youth trainee, you may be entitled to a 25 percent discount off your Council Tax.
If there are only apprentices and trainees at a property there is a 50 percent discount.
You count as an apprentice if you are:
- Employed for the purpose of learning a trade, business or profession, and
- Undertaking a programme of training leading to an accredited qualification, and
- Receiving a salary or allowance (or both) of £195 or less per week before tax and national insurance deductions
We will need a completed application form and to see copies of the apprenticeship agreement along with the apprentice's last 3 consecutive wage slips.
