Coronavirus - Talk Community support
As we take our first steps along the Government’s Roadmap out of lockdown, there continues to be a fantastic community response to supporting vulnerable residents in the county to ensure that they have what they need to stay safe and well during these difficult times. Most residents have adapted to living with the Covid-19 pandemic as have the community networks, parish councils and local businesses which continue to deliver support and services within their local area.
Our Wellbeing Information and Signposting Herefordshire (WISH) website provides lots of information and links to local services that are offering food delivery, groceries and online activities.
If you need additional help and support
During lockdown, our Talk Community Covid-19 Response Team will provide help and support for residents, who are most vulnerable or self-isolating and find themselves with gaps in their support plans. Council staff are continuing to work with hvoss and local community groups to help with basic requests such as food shopping and collecting prescriptions.
If you are unable to call upon help from family, friends or the local community, please complete our online support form.
You can also call us on 01432 260027 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are interested in volunteering
The council has partnered with hvoss, our local voluntary sector support service to lead on the Talk Community volunteer response now and in the future. If you are interested in becoming part of our volunteer taskforce, including vaccination programme support, you can register your interest at CovidRegistration - VMS - Covid Register (vcconnectsystem.org.uk).
If you want to find out more about hvoss, you can contact them by phone on 01432 343932, or by email at email@example.com or see the volunteering page on the hvoss website. Local community groups offering support to residents through the pandemic can also use these contact details if they need extra volunteer help.
