The Local Government Boundary Commission electoral review of Herefordshire Council
A public consultation to help shape new council wards for Herefordshire. 25 November 2025 to 2 February 2026.

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England wants to hear your views on where you live, to help make sure that the new wards reflect the size and shape of local communities.
An electoral review is being carried out to make sure that each local councillor represents about the same number of electors, and that the wards they represent reflect community identities.
The council has formally asked the Commission to carry out a single member ward review. This means that the Commission will aim to draw up a pattern of electoral wards where each ward is represented by one councillor.
Following an earlier consultation with the council, the Commission concluded that Herefordshire Council needs 53 councillors to be able to operate effectively. This is the same number as it has now.
