Herefordshire Council is proud to mark the official start of Armed Forces Week with a flag-raising ceremony in Hereford High Town. The Ceremony will be held at 11am on Monday 22 June 2026 in High Town Hereford

The event marks the start of Armed Forces week and will be attended by the Lord Lieutenant of Herefordshire, the Chairman of Herefordshire Council and military representatives, bringing together representatives from across the county to recognise and celebrate the contribution of the Armed Forces community.

There will also be performances form three local schools - Riverside Primary School, Holmer C of E Academy and Sutton Primary School.

The raising of the Armed Forces flag signals the beginning of a week of recognition and appreciation for serving personnel, veterans, and their families. Armed Forces Week provides an opportunity for communities to come together and show their support for those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces.

Residents and visitors are warmly invited to attend and join the county in marking this significant event.
