Getting the county to net zero

Herefordshire Council is working across sectors to reduce emissions in the county, for example providing fully funded energy saving improvements for Herefordshire homes through the Warm Homes Local Grant.

In addition, businesses, community groups and residents are working hard to reduce emissions across the county. A sample of these activities can be found at Herefordshire Business Snap Shots - Herefordshire Zero Carbon and Nature Rich and Greener Footprints in your Community - Herefordshire Zero Carbon and Nature Rich.

Herefordshire Environment Board

The Herefordshire Environment Board is made up of expert representatives around the county, and will provide strategic leadership and oversight to deliver the strategic vision for Herefordshire.

It will coordinate, monitor and report on action across climate, nature recovery, and river catchment management, ensuring alignment with statutory obligations and community aspirations.
