Armed Forces events and news

Armed Forces Week 2021 - Monday 21 to Saturday 26 June 2020

Armed Forces Week is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.

Armed Forces Day - Saturday 26 June, Ross-on-Wye

Update April 2021

It is with great regret that the Armed Forces Day events scheduled for Ross-on-Wye on Saturday 26 June 2021 have been cancelled. This is due to the uncertainties around the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions. Ross-on-Wye Town Council are committed to hosting the event in 2022 on behalf of Herefordshire.

As well as flag-raising taking place to mark Armed Forces Week for this year in the city and our market towns, we will be celebrating the outstanding commitment and contribution of our armed forces online and via social media channels. We look forward to showcasing our local community during the week of 21-26 June, 2021.

Veterans' survey results

We would like to thank all those who took the time to respond to the veterans' survey. The findings from the survey will make an invaluable contribution to the forthcoming Armed Forces Needs Assessment for Herefordshire, through which our aim is to improve services and support to our local armed force community, both now and in the future.
