Hereford Towns Fund

Herefordshire Stronger Towns Partnership has been awarded £22.4 million from the government's Towns Fund for projects that support post-covid recovery and enhance economic growth through boosting skills and learning, the visitor experience and living well locally. Not only do the projects fit with the bigger picture of a modern Hereford but also with the government's levelling up agenda..

Find out more about the Towns Fund on the government website.

A number of projects were outlined in a Town Investment Plan which was developed with input from residents, communities and businesses and submitted to government. The fund was specifically allocated for projects based in Hereford city.

Fifteen projects were approved by government to proceed to the next stage and were developed into full business cases. Following further government scrutiny, in the autumn of 2022 all 15 were approved to proceed to project implementation stage.

This is an exciting time for #StrongerHereford as project leads are now working with the support of the #StrongerHereford Board and Rose Regeneration (Consultants) to turn their vision into reality.
