Armed Forces Corporate Covenant
A corporate covenant is a written and publicised voluntary pledge from businesses and charitable organisations who wish to demonstrate their concrete support for the armed forces community.
More local businesses commit to the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant
Herefordshire Council is one of the few local authorities in the country to have made a commitment to the armed forces Corporate Covenant.
They have committed to honour and support the armed forces community by recognising the value serving regular and reservist personnel, veterans and military families contribute to our country and business.
The council will endeavour in its business dealings to uphold the two key principles of the covenant, which are that no member of the armed forces community should face disadvantage in the provision of public and commercial services compared to any other citizen and in some circumstances special treatment may be appropriate, especially for the injured or bereaved.
