Setting up an Award Group

We will guide you through the process, and continue to support you as your Group develops.

When you have decided that you are able to start a Group fill in the registration form from the resources box below and return it to the Administrative Assistant.

When we have received your registration we will arrange a visit, discuss what assistance we can provide, and give you a pack of resources to help you run your group. The pack will contain:

• A copy of the Programmes File. This is a hefty ring-binder containing all of the Award's most popular Programmes for use in the Volunteering, Service and Physical Sections.
• A copy of the Award Handbook.
• A series of posters and leaflets you can use to advertise your Award Group.
• A copy of the 'DEAMS for groups' software to help you administer your group

You will obviously want to recruit participants. As well as the material supplied in the pack, additional publicity resources are available from the Award Team.

You can also take this opportunity to recruit volunteers to help you. A meeting with parents is a good chance to address both these needs.
