Potholes

Herefordshire council maintains most roads within the County with the exception of trunk roads. The trunk roads in Herefordshire are the A49, A40 Ross to Monmouth and M50 motorway. This service is delivered through Amey Herefordshire.

All roads are regularly inspected and maintained to the standard set in our Highway Maintenance Plan, which is defined by the character of the road and its expected traffic use.

Major carriageway defects will be repaired or made safe within one working day of them having been inspected by an Inspector following notification from a member of the public.

We will maintain Herefordshire's highway network in an appropriate condition, having regard to the character of the road and the traffic expected to use it.
